Hey there, music lover! Like new stuff? Great! You’ve come to the right place. Each week all sorts of audiolicious goodies are unleashed onto the masses and this is where they come to be judged. I’ll tell ya what’s good, what’s bad, and what’s a waste of your time. Thanks for stopping by!

The Big News
First Minus the Bear record in five years. It’s called Voids. It’s not that I’m not impressed, I just don’t understand how it took five years to come up with this.

Other Stuff
I remember a time when Grandaddy was the shit. Like, people expected that band to be the biggest thing in the world. Then, in 2006, the band just disappeared. Last Place is the first Grandaddy record in ten years and NPR says it “feels exactly like, well, old Grandaddy” and that the record “rewrite[s] the band’s ending”.

Longtime next big thing English duo Sleaford Mods return with their eighth release English Tapas.

Tim Kasher of Cursive unveils his third solo effort, No Resolution

My Recommendation

Hot Chip frontman Alexis Taylor offers up another solo effort Listen With(out) Piano.

Next Week
Tune in next week, same new music time, for new stuff from The Shins!
