And now we get a fantastic look at that mysterious desert sequence from the trailer.
So what’s going on here?
We’ve gotten brief glimpses of Superman’s entrance and his uniformed guards before, but this latest bit of footage reveals that he has Batman as a prisoner. He doesn’t look particularly pleased about it either, going as far as unmasking him (major superhero party foul right there).
During New York Comic Con earlier this year, an action figure on display featuring this Batman costume was labeled as “Knightmare Batman.” This has led a lot of fans to speculate that this might be a dream sequence. Perhaps Batman’s worst fears playing out?
We’ve also previously seen that this sequence continues, with Batman somehow managing to escape the bunker, and confronting some of Superman’s super-goons.
