Alright, so the last two days I’ve been posting a slew of Halloween songs – songs about murder, two headed dogs, and other spooky things. I feel like I’ve kinda lectured readers with the whole “oh, these are deep cuts” and “hey, you don’t know Roky Erickson, whatever” sort of attitude. So tonight, let’s just rejoice in some good old fashioned Halloween classics!

David Bowie, “Scary Monsters”, Scary Monsters, 1980

Black Sabbath, “Black Sabbath”, Black Sabbath, 1970

The Clovers, “Love Potion No. 9”, 1959

Alice Cooper, “Welcome To My Nightmare”, Welcome to my Nightmare, 1975

Misfits, Halloween” / “Halloween II”, 1982

Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, “I Put a Spell on You”, 1956

BONUS!!!

And now for something really scary from Screamin’ Jay, the notorious “Constipation Blues”!

Michael Jackson, Thriller”, Thriller, 1982

Ray Parker Jrm “Ghostbusters”, Ghostbusters: Original Soundtrack Album, 1984

Danny Elfman, “This Is Halloween”, The Nightmare Before Christmas, 1993

Bobby “Boris” Pickett, “Monster Mash”, 1962

And finally, happy freaking Halloween.
