Costume Quest 2 has been announced for PC and consoles. It is already in full production and will be released this Halloween.
“I saw [a sequel] more as a demand,” Double Fine’s Tim Schafer revealed to IGN. “I don’t know that I had much choice in the matter… It’s the kind of game you always want to revisit, there’s such a great core to it.”
Schafer promises the follow-up will be “deeper and juicier.” Both Wren and Reynold will return, with a “new batch of costumes with which to transform into giant super powered fantasy Hallowarriors.”
Costume Quest 2 will be Double Fine’s first sequel.
