There’s a brand new, extra snazzy mount in World of Warcraft, courtesy of Patch 6.1, but Blizzard didn’t officially reveal how to get one. Luckily, it’s only taken players a few days to figure it out.
To snag one of these bird-like creatures, you’ll need a combination of a little bit of luck and persistence.
First, head on over to the level 100 areas of Draenor. You’re looking for purple portals labeled “Edge of Reality,” which spawn randomly in these areas for a brief period of time.
So far, it’s been confirmed to spawn in Nagrand, Shadowmoon Valley, Frostfire Ridge, and the Spires of Arak.
This is tricky not only because the spawn times seem to be completely random, but only one player can use it before it closes. Additionally, the portal will close on its own if no one clicks it within a certain amount of time. You’re basically going to have to get a bit lucky to happen to be in the right zone at the right time (or just wait a few weeks until all of this blows over).
Once you find one, click it to enter an instanced area. You can’t enter if you’re in a group or you already have the Voidtalon mount.
Inside the portal, find and loot the eggs of a dead Voidtalon and leave. Using this item will unlock the mount for you.
