Marvel Announces an All-Female Avengers Team Called A-Force

Once the dust settles on the Secret Wars event, Marvel’s comic book universe is going to look a while lot different. For one, it looks like an all-female team called “A-Force” will be forming, possibly replacing the Avengers.

Replacing the Avengers?

At the moment, there are two separate teams of Avengers fighting it out, and according to Marvel, Secret Wars will do away with the team entirely. While it could just be the wording of the news release, it sounds a heck of a lot like A-Force will be taking their place.

Who’s in this new team?

The new team will be comprised of “She-Hulk, Dazzler, Medusa, Nico Minoru and other fan favorites,” and judging by the cover, it looks like She-Hulk might be the one taking the lead.

Also on the cover is practically ever major female character in the Marvel Universe right now, so it’s anyone’s guess what the final roster will look like.

Who’s writing the series?

A-Force will be written by Margeurite Bennett and Ms. Marvel‘s G. Willow Wilson.

According to Wilson, the two have “purposefully assembled a team composed of different characters from disparate parts of the Marvel U, with very different power sets, identities and ideologies.”

A-Force Assemble?

A-Force Assemble.
