Hey there music lover! Like new stuff? Great! You’ve come to the right place. Each week all sorts of audiolicious goodies are unleashed onto the masses and this is where they come to be judged. I’ll tell ya what’s good, what’s bad, and what’s a waste of your time. Thanks for stopping by!

The Big News

It’s not that big of a deal to me but a lot of people are excited about this new Tim McGraw album, his like 100th record of something. It’s called Damn Country Music and it’s his first since 2014.

Solo Efforts

A new Seal record, huh? Wow, that’s… huh. I have to admit, I didn’t think Seal still, like, worked for a living. Learn something new every day, I guess. Shit, this is actually his ninth fucking record. Ama-fucking-zing.

Very popular singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles returns with her fifth release What’s Inside: Songs from “Waitress”, which is some film score or something. Oh no, it’s a Broadway play, I guess.

English song siren Ellie Goulding unveils her third release Delerium.

 Rereleased Glory

A pair of rereleased or archive recordings from two important artists. First Bob Dylan’s phenomenal Bootleg Series returns with volume 12 – The Cutting Edge: 1965-66.

And Bjork’s magnificent last release Vulnicura gets rerecorded with strings.

RIP

This is where we say goodbye to those who’ve strummed their last chord. Rest in peace and rock on brothers

and sisters.

Tony Van Frater from Red Alert passed at 51.

R&Ber Herbie Goins died at the age of 74.

Diane Charlemagne of Urban Cookie Collective died at 51.

According to his Wikipedia, one of my favorite songwriters, David Rodriguez, died at 63.

Jazzman Lee Shaw tickled the ivories for the last time at the age of 89.

Folk singer Leon Bibb died at 93.

Banjo man Bill Keith passed at the age of 75.

My Recommendation

Just for old times sake I’m gonna rec’ up that new Extreme Noise Terror record, their first since 2008.

Next Week

Tune in next week, same new music time, same new music channel, new stuff from Cee Lo!!
