We’ve seen it rumored, but now it’s official: Nicole Perlman (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Meg LeFauve (Pixar’s Inside Out) have been announced as the writers on Captain Marvel in statement from Marvel.
The real question now is who Marvel will pick as director. Rumor has it they want Angelina Jolie, but a certain other talented female director named Michelle MacLaren now seems to have opening in her schedule.
As for who they will cast as Captain Marvel? We’re not sure yet. As great as she is, it seems Katee Sackhoff is unlikely. There have been a few rumors around Emily Blunt, who is a fantastic actress. Hopefully we’ll know more soon.
