What the hell is Deus Ex Universe? We still don’t really know, aside from it including at least one big AAA game. We may have just gotten a tiny peek at said game, in the form of a technical presentation given at GDC earlier this month.
At this year’s Game Developers Conference, AMD and Eidos-Montreal presented some of the technology behind the hair rendering software they’ll be using in a panel called, “Augmented Hair in Deus Ex Universe Projects – TressFX 3.0.”
There was literally no info about the game itself revealed, so don’t get too excited. It is however the first time Eidos has even mentioned the project in well over a year and a half, so that has to count for something. It’s also worth noting that Eidos seems to be testing their hair tech with Adam Jensen, the protagonist from Human Revolution. Is Jensen returning, or was it just a convenient 3D model they had lying around?
