Over the past month or so, rumors have been flying that Captain Marvel (slated to have her own movie in 2018) has already been cast, and will make a surprise appearance in Avengers: Age of Ultron. So, is there any truth to these reports?
Captain Marvel or No Captain Marvel?
Sadly for fans of Carol Danvers, it seems that the character will not in fact be appearing in Age of Ultron next month. How do we know? Well Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige himself confirmed it in an interview with EW.
However, there will be a secret female character in the movie, but Feige cautions that, “It’s not a big deal. But it’s a good character.”
Who could it be?
Hard to say, but we do know that actresses Linda Cardellini and Julie Delpy have both been cast in unnamed roles.
It’s likely that neither of them is a huge, mindblowing cameo, but keep an eye out come May 1 anyways, as Joss Whedon and crew may have planted a cool little easter egg.
I think Charize Theron is a good pick for (Carol Dancers) captain marvel. She looks good with short hair.
