Star Wars Battlefront Gets a Gameplay Trailer, and It’s Amazing

After nearly two years of teasing, Battlefront has finally gotten a proper trailer using actual in-game assets.

Was it worth the wait? Well, if you’re a Star Wars fan, you bet your bantha it was.

The trailer depicts a battle between Rebel and Imperial forces on Endor, and features gadgets like a personal shield generator and a jetpack. Darth Vader himself also makes an appearance, before we cut to quick shots of Hoth, Tatooine, Jakku (the new planet from The Force Awakens), and Sullust. To cap it all off, the Millennium Falcon even dogfights with some Tie Fighters!

The game is being published by EA, who obtained the exclusive rights to “core” Star Wars games after the Disney acquisition in 2013. DICE revealed the project at E3 later that year, showing off a brief but exciting teaser trailer.

The game itself is being developed with the Frostbite 3 engine, the same one used for Battlefield 4, and will be released on November 17, 2015, according to yesterday’s leak. That will land it about a month before the arrival of The Force Awakens, and confirms once and for all, winter is Star Wars territory.
