Happy Monday music maniacs! Like new stuff? Great! You’ve come to the right place. Each week all sorts of audiolicious goodies are unleashed onto the masses and this is where they come to be judged. I’ll tell ya what’s good, what’s bad, and what’s a waste of your time. Thanks for stopping by!

The Big News!
Yeesh! This entry’s gonna be a quick one kiddos. Not a whole heckuvalot of new stuff of note to take note of so sit back and wonder why, babe, if’n you don’t know by now. No categories this week, just a quick list. First up – the new solo release from one of my favorite performers, Grace Potter, she of Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, of course. It’s called Midnight, and apparently it’s some of pop rock record, which I guess all Grace Potter fans should have known was coming sooner or later. Quoth NPR: “Working with L.A. producer Eric Valentine on Midnight, [Potter] remains her aggressive, earthy self while getting playful in new ways. With its songs about sex and dancing, self-confidence and risk, Midnight is a mid-career turn for Potter that proves genuinely freeing.”

Welsh metal masters Bullet for My Valentine unveil a new record that “reeks of torment, indignation and pure fury at a love affair turned sour”, according to The Arts Desk.

The Voice winner Melanie Martinez offers up her debut, Cry Baby.

A new Blackalicious record! Holy shit! Imani Vol I is the dope rapper duo’s first release in ten fucking years!!! Mic masters Gift of Gab and Chief Xcel are in perfect form and Imani is “a lush mixture of instrumental layers and Gab’s typical relentless verses, which, as usual, take several listens to fully unpack,” according to ElevenPDX.

New stuff from Cursive frontman Tim Kasher’s supposed side project, The Good Life. Everybody’s Coming Down, is the band’s sixth release.

My Recommendation
I’ll flop onto the new Teen Daze bandwagon. Morning World.

Next Week

Tune in next week, music maniacs, for new stuff from Bon Jovi, Method Man, and CARLY RAE JEPSON!!!
