What is this game about?

According to the Rockstar Games’ official website, Grand Theft Auto V stars the fictional town of Los Santos, “…A sprawling sun-soaked metropolis full of self-help gurus, starlets and fading celebrities, once the envy of the Western world, now struggling to stay afloat in an era of economic uncertainty and cheap reality TV.” The player will engage with three different criminals who intend to succeed in a self-centered by committing numerous heists and dangerous activities.

Wait, didn’t I hear about this game a year ago? Why so long for the PC release?

Quite a bit on talk has been placed about this game’s release for the PC, as it took over two years after the initial release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360! Granted, this re-release was also given for the newest generation of consoles (PlayStation 4 and XboxOne) during November 2014, but it still took an additional four months and three delays before the following release date for the computer.

Why was Rockstars Games’ biggest and critically acclaimed video game to date not available on such a widely used platform for so long? An official statement from Rockstar Games’ news website states that the title required, “…A little more development time in order to ensure that it is as amazing and polished as possible.” What many gamers speculated from this statement was the further attention towards graphics and performance beyond the other consoles limitations. That said, it should be noted that through an extensive interview with Rockstar North engineers that a PC game was planned since ‘day one,’ and ultimately wanted to focus on the consoles release as foundation for further improvements for computers.

However you wish to interpret this information, what can be said from these delays is that the effort poured into this game does look sharp in comparison to the recent releases! There will even be new features that previous PlayStation 3 and Xbox360 games have not received.

What new features can I expect?

New weapons and vehicles are only one aspect that has been heightened in this revision of Grand Theft Auto V, as further enhancements to the world at large and even gameplay mechanics offers a new point of view.

Los Santos is becoming more fleshed out as new animal wildlife and a new foliage system to fully immerse players into the underbelly of the city. On top of that, new weather effects and enhanced damage further creates the environment for your characters to interact with this updated world.

One key revolution to this title is the addition of first-person view, in which the player will be able to switch from top-down third person perspective right into what their character actually sees. In this trailer, you can observe how the game suddenly takes on a new vantage point, where it is possible to drive vehicles and aircraft with ease, as well as firing intense weaponry for dangerous situations. In many cases, Grand Theft Auto V takes note from other first person shooters while giving new life and original style within the game’s universe.

Anything else I should know before buying?
