Future Fight just got its biggest update yet, adding a movie-inspired Guardians of the Galaxy roster. All told, we’ve gotten eight new superheroes and villains to play around with, including the core team, Yondu, and Ronan.
So just how do you go about unlocking these new characters? Some are pretty easy, others will unfortunately take a bit of time.
Most of them are available through a new mission category though, labeled “Special.” You can complete 10 of these a day (total across all of the various Special missions), and each one has a chance to award a particular Biometric.
Additionally, Biometrics for all of the new characters are also available via Ally/Enemy Shifters, a new feature that may randomly insert a friendly or hostile character into a Normal or Elite mission. Completing the level will always award you a bonus Biometric for that hero/villain.
Finally, all of the new characters can also be unlocked via Dimension Chests and the limited edition Guardians of the Galaxy Dimension Chest.
If you’re looking for a less luck-oriented way of nabbing these new characters though, here are the guaranteed methods for obtaining them.
Star-Lord
The leader of the Guardians cannot be unlocked via Elite missions as usual. Instead, he is only available in the Chaos Token Shop. He requires 20 Biometrics to unlock, for a total of 3,500 Tokens.
Rocket Raccoon
Similar to the Hulkbuster, everyone’s favorite super-powered procyonid can be unlocked piece by piece by logging in seven days in a row. He requires 20 Biometrics to unlock.
Gamora
Gamora is a new prize available in the Honor Token Shop. To unlock her, you’ll need 20 Biometrics, for a total of 3,500 Tokens.
Yondu
Yondu is the easiest new character to unlock. He’s available in the second Special mission (unlocked by completing the level 10 difficulty of the Modok one), for just 10 Biometrics.
Groot
Groot is also fairly easy to unlock. You can grab his Biometrics in the third special mission (unlocked by completing the level 10 difficulty of the first two), and only takes 10 to complete.
Nebula
Nebula’s Biometrics are available in the fourth Special mission (unlocked by completing the level 10 difficulty of the first three). You’ll only need 10 to unlock her.
Drax
Drax’s Biometrics are located in the fifth Special mission (unlocked by completing the level 10 difficulty of the first four), and you’ll need 10 to unlock him.
Ronan
Ronan’s Biometrics are available in the final Special mission. You’ll need to complete at least the level 10 difficulty on all of the subsequent Special missions to be able to play it. His character is unlocked with 20 Biometrics.
