NMW: Cat Power, Behemoth, Twenty One Pilots, and More!!

Hey kid! Like new music? Great! You’ve stumbled into the right rabbit hole. I’ll tell ya what’s good, what’s bad, and what’s a waste of your time. Thanks for stopping by!

The Big News

It’s all big news this week! This is one of those rare weeks in which there’s just so much new stuff coming out it’s hard to know where to start. Let’s just get right to it, list style.

All the kids will be GASSIN’ the new Twenty One Pilots.

Here’s the new Cat Power, Lady Chan’s first utterances in six years. If you’re a fan you know that Wanderer is going to be important.

One of my all time favorite bands, Echo & the Bunneymen return with The Stars, The Ocean, and the Moon. Their first in four years.

Dope Rappers

Heady rappers Atmosphere are back with Mi Vida Local.

Other dope rapper Ghostface Killah offers The Lost Tapes.

Metal Mania

Time for the hard stuff!!!!

Ice Nine Kills!

High on Fire!

Behemoth! Potential album of the year stuff here, y’all. This new Behemoth record, I Loved You At Your Darkest, the Polish extreme metal outfit’s first in four years is going to be an accomplishment.

I’ll toss the new Coheed and Cambria in here just for the heck of it.

My Recommendation

A double rec week since I forgetted to do one last week, yo! First up, the long awaited new one from Toronto’s Fucked Up, Dose Your Dreams. This is the first installment in the FU masterpiece series since 2014’s Glass Boys, which cracked my top ten for that year.

And legendary legend Kristen Hersh unveils Possible Dust Clouds.

Next Week

Tune in next week for new stuff from: Eric Clapton. Great. So. Exciting.
