Whether you’re a fan of Paramount Pictures’ Paranormal Activity — and one it’s many spinoffs — or not, you might be interested to know that’s it’s getting the virtual reality makeover. Pretty soon, you could find yourself immersed in the world of paranormal hauntings through a VR-powered game.
VRWERX, a virtual reality game developer, officially unveiled Paranormal Activity VR, which will be coming sometime in 2016. The game will supposedly be available on a wide variety of VR platforms including Sony’s Project Morpheus, the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and more. It will also be coming to Xbox One, PS4, other unnamed “consoles,” mobile and PC presumably in a non-VR form.
What’s the Deal With the Game?
Russel Naftal, Beast MG Co-Managing Partner, says that they aim to make an incredibly scary game. VRWERX, the team responsible for developing the game is a subsidiary of Beast Media Group.
“Our goal is for the Paranormal Activity VR video game to not only be the scariest game you’ve ever played, but the scariest experience you’ve ever had!”
Well, isn’t that interesting?
There’s no word on what the game is actually going to be about. My guess? You’ll be dealing with ghosts, paranormal creepies and maybe even a murder or two. What do you predict?
