So, yesterday I covered the launch of Kung Fury, a pretty kickass 80’s inspired short film that was funded through Kickstarter. If you haven’t seen it yet, go check it out!
It got me thinking. I love movies. You love movies. We talk about them all the time. Why not take some time to appreciate a few of them here at Overmental?
That’s why I’m going to start a weekly feature on short films! Every week I’ll show you another short film — fan made or otherwise — and we can watch it together.
This Week’s Short Film Is Strings by Jimmy Loweree
Strings stars Georgia King, Roy Elghanayan, Matthew Simmons, and Travis Warner.
Here, is the premise:
A woman is kept sedated by a cold-blooded kidnapper, but her free will is something worth fighting for.
Give it a watch and then head past the break.
Well, what did you think? Did you like the ending?
I didn’t exactly see that one coming, and I’m curious to see where the story would go from here. The female character obviously has some kind of telepathic abilities which allows her to overcome her kidnapper. This does make you question how she was kidnapped in the first place. Did she orchestrate the whole thing?
Who’s the guy that rescued her and how did he know where to find her?
Still, it’s pretty interesting and that fight scene was great!
