Welcome to the internet!
You’ve got opinions, and you’d like them to be heard. That’s cool, we’ve all been there.
Guess what?
With Overmental, you’ve got an audience of avid readers that wants to know what you think, and we’ve made it easier than ever to share your thoughts, news, interviews, and what-have-yous.
How?
Well, you’ve come to the right place to get started.
What can I write about?
What do you love? Video games? Comic books? Pro wrestling? 1970s experimental Japanese films? If you’re into it, you’ve got a place to write about it here.
What’s in it for me?
Here at Overmental, we pride ourselves in our community. Not only will you get to meet and collaborate with other writers just as passionate about the things you’re passionate about, but you’ll also be reaching out to tens of thousands of readers who are genuinely interested in what you have to say.
Overmental is a supportive environment for you to express your thoughts and opinions on movies, music, games, and everything in between – because we believe that you can enjoy more than just one of these. We won’t limit you to just talking about comics or video games, we understand that just because you like Call of Duty doesn’t mean you don’t also like Miyazaki films.
In short, what’s in it for you is a helpful community for you to talk about what really interests you, and to help improve your writing voice on the internet. It’s a welcome place to geek out about the things you want to geek out about!
Great! How can I get started?
The first thing you’ll need to do is create a new Overmental account (if you already have one, nice going! Feel free to skip this step). You’ll need to click on that little “Log in/Register” button up top there. From there, it’s pretty simple, just click “I want to create an account” and enter your desired username, e-mail address, and desired password.
You can also include a photo to represent yourself on the site, as well as your first and last name. While these aren’t necessary elements, our editors will be more inclined to choose your articles as featured front-page articles if you have more information filled out. Don’t worry, though, you can always fill this stuff out later, too. Now that you’ve created an account, feel free to explore your account, fill out your bio, and subscribe to other users.
