So, about us. Where to begin?
Overmental is exactly what it sounds like. An overactive hive mind of geek and media culture. We have our finger on the pulse of everything a growing nerd needs to thrive in everyday life.
Let’s be real. It’s one thing to subscribe to an RSS feed and spend a few minutes a day reading up on news headlines about the latest Xbox One release, the Screen Actors Guild Awards or whether or not Kristen Stewart should keep doing Twilight films (she shouldn’t).
It’s another thing entirely to nestle your ass into a ten year old office chair that needs to be replaced and spend three hours debating heatedly with like-minded people about whether or not Wolverine would win a fight with Deadpool and what actually constitutes “too dead to regenerate”.
That is what Overmental thrives on. We’re a lot more than just a website geeking out about comics and video games and movies. We’re a community of like-minded individuals passionately ranting, raving, writing, filming, podcasting (and occasionally fighting in the street) about these things.
The most crucial thing to know about Overmental is that we’re never going to be “too important” to interact with you. Send us a picture of Donkey Kong devouring the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man on the Twitter machine. We’ll retweet it. Shoot us an email or leave a long-winded comment on Facebook telling us that we suck. We’ll respond (kindly, we promise).
Last but not least, Overmental will always be driven by the passion and energy of people like you, reading, commenting and blogging to your heart’s content in our Community section. We couldn’t do this without you. So, go ahead and take that extra fire flower. You’ve earned it.
And while you’re at it, go ahead and sign up and start ranting with the rest of us. Because this is your site too.
