Battlefront Gameplay May Debut on the Star Wars Celebration Live Stream

If you’re chomping at the bit to see some Star Wars Battlefront, but can’t make it down to Anaheim this weekend, you might be in luck.

Earlier today, Verizon and StarWars.com announced that a weekend live stream will feature over 30 hours of content from the event’s panels and show floor. Included in the stream will be something to do with Battlefront, although the announcement isn’t quite clear on the specifics.

What did they say?

In addition to the Star Wars: The Force Awakens panel, the live stream will also feature:

The Star Wars Fan Film Awards; the Smuggler’s Bounty radio drama; EA’s new Battlefront videogame; and several other exclusive Celebration events that might otherwise be missed by members from Star Wars’ global fan community.

So, gameplay or… ?

This could mean a lot of things. It could be the panel that EA will be hosting, or it could demos from the show floor (if there will be playable demos on the show floor to begin with). Either way though, it feels really likely that we’ll be seeing some Battlefront gameplay before the weekend is over. Otherwise, I don’t think EA would’ve made such a big deal about their plans for the event.

When is Star Wars Celebration?

The convention will run from Thursday, April 16 to Sunday, April 19. EA’s Battlefront panel will take place on Friday, April 17 at 10:30 AM PST.

Where can I watch the stream?

It will be available to view for free at StarWars.com.
