The 90s were a renaissance of 2D fighting games. From King of Fighters to Street Fighter 2, these were the games many of us grew up on. While the obvious appeal of those games was the fast-paced gameplay and the cast of eclectic characters, take all of that away and we're left with some surprisingly beautiful artwork that went largely ignored during those furious showdowns.
