Subset Games has announced a release date for FTL: Advanced Edition, as well as some of the incoming features. The studio revealed on Twitter that the PC and iPad versions will launch on April 3, and will be given out as a free upgrade if you own the original game already.
FTL: Advanced Edition will add new ships, weapons, events, and enviornments. One such new feature will be a cloning room, which swaps out your medbay for a room that creates copies of dead crew members. Another will be a mind control system, which brainwashes enemies into damaging their own ships.
Advanced Edition will also feature new music by composer Ben Prunty, and events written byWasteland 2‘s Chris Avellone.
