Watch out, Skylanders, some competition is heading your way in the form of Legos. Specifically, Lego Dimensions.
What is Lego Dimensions?
Lego Dimensions is a toys-to-life style game from Warner Bros. Interactive. This particular genre of games has exploded in popularity, largely because of things like Skylanders and Disney’s Infinity line.
Lego has more or less been a destined fit to join the party, considering the immense popularity of their longstanding toy line and their equally popular video games, which mimic the properties of their real-life Lego counterparts.
What can we expect from Lego Dimensions?
Included in the starter pack for Lego Dimensions will be the Toy Pad, a Lego Batmobile, some bricks, and three Lego miniatures, including Gandalf, Batman and Wyldstyle from The Lego Movie.
Lego Dimensions is also set to incorporate a number of familiar properties, including DC Comics, Back To The Future, Lord of the Rings, and The Lego Movie, among others.
When does the game come out?
Lego Dimensions comes out September 29 for PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360. News of the game’s release actually leaked early thanks to a user on the Lego sub-Reddit, who shared an image and description of the game.
