Hey there music lover! You like new stuff? Great! You’ve stumbled into the perfect corner of the internet.  Each week all sorts of audiolicious goodies are unleashed onto the masses and this is where they come to be judged. I’ll tell ya what’s good, what’s bad, and what’s a waste of your precious time. So strap on your headphones and let’s take a ride!

The Big News

New Sting record. Great. So excited. This is my excited tone. 57th & 9th is the ex-Policeman’s first in three years and his twelfth overalall.

Miscellaneous Pile

Holy shit! The new one from A Tribe Called Quest!!! Holy shit!!! The new one from A Tribe Called Quest.

And Enigma.

Some Sleigh Bells.

And a live joint from those Rolling Stones.

This is the part where we say goodbye to those who’ve hit their last high note. Rock on and rest in peace, brothers and sisters.

Hungarian composer Zoltan Kocsis.

French electro-nut Jean-Jacques Perrey.

Singer Kay Starr.

Jazzman Bob Cranshaw.

Singer Bap Kennedy.

And a former college professor of mine for whom I had a great deal of respect, Chuck Berg.

My Recommendations

Speedy Ortiz is one of those bands for which I’ve never really given a shit, but lots of other people seem to have a fascination with them. Lead singer Sadie Dupuis steps on her own with a solo project Sad13.

Next Week!!!!

Tune in next week, same new music time, same new music channel, for new stuff from Metallica!!!!!!
