Time for your weekly round-up of all the new music stuff hitting the weekend waves! I’ll tell ya what’s good, what’s bad, and what’s a waste of your time. Thanks for stopping by!!
The Big News
I don’t really care but everybody else seems to be very interested in hearing the new one from Justin Timberlake. Called Man of the Woods, it is the mogul’s fifth record and first since 2013. It features collaborations with people like Alicia Keys and Chris Stapleton, and it’s supposedly some sort of laid back, easy going trip. I doubt I’ll hear it but I’ll hear about it all year.
Blast from the Past
Legendary Scottish 80’s heroes Simple Minds unveil their eighteenth release Walk Between Worlds.
Young Guns
Red Bull’s favorite band, Awolnation, offers up it’s junior effort, Here Come the Runts.
And super precocious kiddo Kyle Craft’s second release, the swaggering Full Circle Nightmare, is my favorite new release so far this year.
My Recommendation
Other than the new Kyle Craft? That’s easy! I’ll go with the second solo effort by Efrim Menuck of Godspeed You! Black Emporer. Can go wrong with some GY!BE.
