Recap Westworld Season 1 with This Hour and a Half Super-Edit

If you know me much at all, you probably know just how obsessed I was with HBO’s Westworld in 2016. It combined so many elements that are just pure catnip for me: a compelling core mystery, satisfying answers to those big questions, heck even a huge helping of theme park design and writing for an immersive enviornment.

I was hoping to do a rewatch of the first season ahead of tonight’s premiere, but unfortunately, the combination of covering Legion for IGN, discovering the second season of Preacher on Hulu, becoming low-key obsessed with The Terror on AMC, and finishing my MCU rewatch ahead of Infinity War has all but eaten up every spare hour I have.

Thankfully, I stumbled upon this fantastic passion project by one of the editors of the Westworld fan podcast Out West. They’ve put what must have been an ungodly amount of work into stitching together the entire first season of the show into a chronological, roughly hour and a half-long supercut, which makes for a perfect vehicle for recapping the broad strokes of what happened.

I can’t embed it for obvious reasons, but you can give it a watch over at The Outline here.

Westworld Season 2 premieres on HBO tonight at 9:00 PM PST.
