Colorado based folk-grass collective Elephant Revival is set to release their first live record and DVD, Sands of Now, later this month.Long time readers of New Music Monday and the Overmental / 8CN music section know that ER is one of our favorite and most recommended bands. Their last record, These Changing Skies, was nearly perfect, as were their debut and sophomore efforts. In fact, everything this band does is magical and it is, in my opinion the most important band currently working in the United States. Via The Bluegrass Situation the new live record will include songs from their three records and some new stuff.  Here’s the lead track, a stunning version of “Sing to the Mountain” recorded at the Boulder Theater in Boulder, CO.
