Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice is looking to steal the show later this week at Comic-Con, but if you can’t make it out to that, these new photos are a pretty good consolation prize.
Entertainment Weekly premiered the batch, along with some
Here’s Gal Gadot as Diana Prince, aka Wonder Woman. She definitely seems to have a very convincing alter-ego, as she’s rocking that dress while dancing with Bruce Wayne (at some sort of black tie function it seems, maybe Wayne Enterprises sponsored?).
This one’s a better look at a shot from the trailer, in which Superman appears to be worshipped by a crowd of people (with faces painted for Día de Muertos). They seem reverential, he seems a bit bemused.
Zack Snyder directing Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne in a rubble-strewn street, likely Metropolis after the events of Man of Steel. Here’s how EW describes the version of the character we’ll be seeing:
He’s at the end of his run and maybe the end of his life. There’s this sort of world-weariness to it…He’s on the verge of being swallowed up by the anger and the rage that we see haunt this character in the other manifestations of it, but this guy is further down the line and has become more embittered and cynical.
An armored Batman lights the Bat-Signal to draw Superman into their big fight.
Bats and Supes face off.
This is a weird one. Lex Luthor has a majestic head of hair. We know that at some point his character goes bald… so does he shave it? Is it burnt off? Is that a wig?
And finally, here’s the cover of the EW issue featuring the photos.
