Microsoft blew the lid off of E3 with the surprise announcement of Xbox One backwards compatibility. Here’s how it will work.
- Xbox 360 games will now run natively on Xbox One.
- You’ll simply insert the game disc, and download the Xbox One version.
- Xbox 360 games will have the usual Xbox One features and voice commands, like screenshoting, broadcasting, game DVR, and game streaming.
- The goal is to “deliver the largest game catalog on Xbox.”
- Best of all, it’s free!
