The CapcomChannel just released a video showing off the unique capoeira brawler, Elena. Compared to other Street Fighter characters, she’s relatively unique not only in that her attacks concentrate on her feet, but she’s the only character with a healing move.
Based on the Elena trailer, at a first glance it seems like she plays similarly to Dee Jay. As you watch the video, we can see she lacks a “fireball,” which is honestly a little scary in a game where poking is so important. Characters like Cammy are powerful now because of their mix and cross-ups, and Elena just doesn’t seem to have that ambiguousness. It’s difficult to tell how strong her healing will come into play, but Ultra Street Fighter IV is looking pretty sick.
