Disneyland is basically a national institution. The theme park has been around for nearly 60 years now, hosting over 650 million (million!) visitors in that time.
While the park has gone through some huge changes over the years (New Orleans in the 60s, Bear Country in the 70s, and Toontown in the 90s to name a few of the big ones), it’s amazing how much of it has managed to stay the same.
In celebration of the park’s upcoming anniversary, Disney Imagineering has shared some incredible side-by-side photos of the park: during Walt’s era, and today. It’s heartwarming to think that no matter how much the park gets updated, that magical atmosphere that Walt envisioned in his lifetime has lasted to this day.
