It’s been confirmed that Harrison Ford was hospitalized earlier today after a plane he was flying crashed into a golf course in Venice, California.
Ford was flying a vintage World War II training plane, and was reportedly conscious and breathing when rescue crews found him after the crash. He was subsequently taken to a hospital where he was said to be in stable condition.

The extent of his injuries are said to be serious, but not life-threatening, although not many specifics are currently known. Several sources are saying that he’s received lacerations over his face, and may have suffered fractures.
Ford is an experienced airplane and helicopter pilot, and this is not the first time that he has walked away from a crash. In 1999, a helicopter he was flying went down in Santa Clara, Calfiornia after a mechanical failure.
Representatives of the actor have scheduled a news conference, where more accurate details should emerge.
