After an incredibly creative viral campaign, the next Deus Ex game has been officially announced with a slick new trailer.
It’s called Mankind Divided, and if the trailer is any indication, we’ll be once again following the augmented sunglasses-wearing Adam Jensen.
What is the game about?
Mankind Divided takes place right after the events of Human Revolution, in the aftermath of the Aug Incident, a day when augmented people around the world experienced violent hallucinations and attacked other civilians. As a result, augmented people are now considered to be a threat by the government, and are segregated from the rest of the population.
In this chaotic and uncertain time, a series of terrorist attacks lead Adam Jensen to uncovering a conspiracy plot to control the “future of mankind.”
Does this have anything to do with Deus Ex Universe?
Presumably, as the original announcement stated that the project would involve AAA games. It seems likely that Mankind Divided is meant to be a jumping off point for this new era of Deus Ex.
What platforms will it be coming to?
The game will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
Do we have a release date?
Not yet, expect news on a release date at E3 2015.
