Hey there music lover! Like new stuff? Great! You’ve come to the right place. Each week all sorts of audiolicious goodies are unleashed onto the masses and this is where they come to be judged. I’ll tell ya what’s good, what’s bad, and what’s a waste of your time. Thanks for stopping by!

The Big News

The big news this week is that I’m on vacation once again! So this will be another quick one, short and sweet and to the point. Let’s start with the new Carrie Underwood release, Storyteller, her fifth release and first since 2012’s ubiquitous Blown Away.

Solo Stuffs

Tell your dad that there is a new Rod Stewart record being released this week. It’s called Another Country, and is the aging pop star’s 29th release.

Singer Vanessa Carlton returns with her latest Liberman.

Avant folk artist Joanna Newsome offers up Divers, the siren’s fourth release.

Depeche Mode vocalist Dave Gahan teams up with electro-duo Soulsavers for Angels and Ghosts, the combo’s second effort together.

And, Everything But the Girl girl Tracy Thorne offers up Solo: Songs and Collaborations 1982-2015.

Indy Miscy

Canada’s Half Moon Run unveil their sophomore effort Sun Leads Me On.

And the ever productive Ty Segal returns with another Fuzz rekkid, this one titled II.

RIP

This is where we say goodbye to those who’ve strummed their last chord. Rest in peace brothers and sisters, and rock on.

Carey Lander, keyboardist for Camera Obscura, died this week far too young.

Blue guitarist Smokin’ Joe Kubek fell victim to a heart attack.

And Steve Mackay, legendary saxophonist for The Stooges, died this week.

My Recommendation

I ain’t got none! So here’s my third favorite song of all time instead!

Next Week

Tune in next week, same new music time, same new music channel, for new stuff from the supposedly dead Elvis Presley. No shit. A new Elvis Presley record.
