NMW: Kesha’s Back

Time for your weekly update of all new music thingies. I’ll tell ya what’s good, what’s bad, and what’s a waste of your precious time. Strap on your headphones and let’s go for a ride!

The Big News

Without question, the biggest, most anticipated new release of the year comes from Kesha. Everyone knows the backstory about the legal battles with Dr Luke and all of that so we won’t go into it. I’ll admit, I wasn’t a Kesha fan before this year (I think anyone who reads this regularly ((again, HI MOM)) knows I’m pretty sure I’ve never heard a Kesha song, and never intentionally listened to one), and I won’t be after this release cause I just don’t listen to music like this. But this is going to sell a lot of units or copies or ringtones or whatever. Kesha’s already massive fanbase is going to eat it up. plenty of people who never gave her a second thought when she was “Tik Tok”-ing all over the pop charts are going to check it out and start to talk about Kesha as a serious artist, which should have happened a long tie ago anyway. There isn’t a negative review out there on this thing, everybody loves it and the criticism wavers between it’s a great comeback grow up album to it’s the album of the year. Good for her.

My Recommendation

It is the sophomore release from Rhode Island’s Downtown Boys. It’s important.

Next Week

Tune in next week, same new music time, same new music channel, for new stuff from: Grizzly Bear!
