We’ve steadily been hearing more and more about Disney Infinity 3.0‘s Star Wars content, including improvements to the power disk systems and the possible inclusion of characters from Star Wars Rebels. At the moment, we know Disney Infinity 3.0 will have two campaigns based on each major trilogy. Today, we got a massive batch of new screenshots from an official press release. Check them out below!
Did we get any new info to go along with the screenshots?
Well, aside from some info we already know that includes the fact that the Original Trilogy campaign will feature a great deal of vehicle combat, we also heard about their future plans.
What are their future plans?
Straight from the source:
“Two additional Star Wars Play Sets will be available for Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition this holiday, including Star Wars Twilight of the Republic and Star Wars The Force Awakens. In addition, players will be able to unlock the ability for all Star Wars characters to play inside all the Star Wars Play Sets, as well as in the newly enhanced Toy Box, along with all characters preciously released for Disney Infinity.”
What characters will I get with the base set?
Just Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia. Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Darth Vader will be available and sold separately.
So, no info on Star Wars Rebels?
It would be incredibly shocking if they weren’t included in some way at some point for the game. At the moment, the rumored Rebels to be included are Ezra Bridger, Kanan Jarrus, Zeb Orrelios, and Sabine Wren.
Still, it’s pretty cool that you can use Prequel Trilogy characters in Original Trilogy levels and vice versa. Imagine playing as Anakin Skywalker fighting Darth Vader. Also, since you can use other Disney Infinity characters as well, you can probably play out some massive fantasies from your childhood that involve Iron Man and Han Solo saving the world.
What about the Prequel Campaign?
Star Wars: Twilight of the Republic will be about the Republic era and focus The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith. Presumably, it will also have parts of the Clone Wars show due to the fact it will feature Ahsoka Tano and a Clone Wars era Anakin Skywalker. The other confirmed Prequel era characters are Darth Maul and Obi-Wan Kenobi. We’ve heard the gameplay will be different for Twilight of the Republic, instead focusing on playing with Force powers over the Rise Against The Empire’s emphasis on vehicles.
What about The Force Awakens Campaign?
Presumably, you will have access to Rey, Finn, and Poe along with their respective vehicles. It also wouldn’t be surprising, since you can play as Darth Maul and Darth Vader, if you also had access to Kylo Ren and his ship as well.
