TJ Miller has signed on to play a big role in Marvel and Disney’s Big Hero 6 animated film. A Tweet from the actor (subsequently deleted) has revealed that Miller will play Fred, a “quirky” filmmaker, comic book fanboy, and member of the titular “6.”
Big Hero 6 centers around a young robotics prodigy named Hiro, ho turns his friends into a superhero team to combat a new villain. According to Rotoscopers, Fred gets involved with Hiro when he volunteers himself as a test subject for an experiment by Hiro’s brother Tadashi. In the original comic book that inspired the film, Fred can turn himself into a dragon-like creature called “Fredzilla.”
Miller has previously done quite a bit of animation voice work including roles in How to Train Your Dragon and the Disney Channel series Gravity Falls.
