We’ve seen plenty of Captain America on set, and now, we’re getting the other half of that Civil War equation.
This past weekend, Robert Downey Jr. posted a photo to Instagram confirming that he’s flown in to shoot his scenes in Captain America: Civil War. We haven’t seen him in costume yet, so we don’t know what kind of scenes those will be, but hey, more RDJ is never a bad thing.
Why is Iron Man in this movie again?
Captain America: Civil War, as the title suggests, is basically a battle between the former Avengers teammates. In the aftermath of some kind of international incident that results in collateral damage, government regulation comes down hard on Cap’s New Avengers team. Leading the charge on enforcing those new laws is Tony Stark, leading to a big confrontation as everyone chooses between Iron Man’s side, and Captain America’s.
We don’t know yet how extensive RDJ’s part is going to be, but all reports indicate that he’ll be suiting up as Iron Man at least once.
When is it out?
Captain America: Civil War hits theaters on May 6, 2016.
