Chris Pratt Won’t Be in Indiana Jones 5, Ghostbusters, or Knight Rider

Remember all those rumors about Chris Pratt being the next big action star with prominent roles in Indiana Jones, Ghostbusters, and a Knight Rider reboot? As promising as they are, Chris Pratt debunked them (sort of) during an interview with GQ.

What Did He Say?

When talking about Ghostbusters and Knight Rider he said that the rumors are “bullshit.”

The Ghostbusters rumor involved Pratt starring alongside Channing Tatum in a spinoff, but he says it’s not happening.

No one has ever even spoken to me about that. Never. I’ve even seen Channing a couple times. As far as I know, that’s complete bullshit.

So, those two movies are out but what about Indiana Jones?

Rumors started making the rounds that Disney was planning a new Indiana Jones movie and that they wanted Chris Pratt to take on the leading role. He said before that the rumors are untrue, claiming “no one’s called me.”

However, that’s misleading according to the GQ article.

The truth, as far as he is concerned, is that someone high up at Disney did mention to him a while back that they were picking up the rights to Indiana Jones, to which Pratt commented that his action-adventure card was fairly full.

If this is true, Pratt was being considered and Disney reached out, but he turned down the opportunity because his “card” is full. We wouldn’t fault him for that since he did just confirm that Star-Lord will be returning for several Marvel films.

What is interesting, is that he kept this information to himself until now. He could actually be in talks to play other roles — like the rumored Ghostbusters and Knight Rider — yet simply withholding the information. That’s hardly a guarantee that anything is in the pipeline or that Pratt is even connected, but it’s still worth pointing out.

Pratt would probably be a good fit for the whip-wielding archeologist. What do you think?
