Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord Will Be In Movies Outside of Guardians 2, but Which?

GQ spent some time with Chris Pratt recently, interviewing him for a cover story. He confirmed that his character Star-Lord will be returning to the Marvel universe in more ways than one — meaning we’ll see him in films outside Guardians of the Galaxy 2.

“I’m tied to doing three more, or five more, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ or whatever it is, you know, two more ‘Guardians’ plus another couple.”

To break it down, he’s saying that he’ll appear in two or three Galaxy sequels with the remaining ties being cameos in other Marvel films. We will definitely see him fighting alongside — or against — other characters eventually.

Where Else Will We See Star-Lord?

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is scheduled to drop sometime in 2017. We probably won’t see Peter Quill — or Star-Lord — until then.

My guess is that he will return for either Infinity War Part 1 in 2018 or Part 2 in 2019. The Avengers are going to need some “otherworldly” aid when taking on Thanos, as Tony Stark put it. It makes sense that we’d see the Guardians assist in a battle that could have severe galactic implications.

As for other films where he might appear, the list could include Captain Marvel and 2019’s Inhumans, both of which have strong ties to the Guardians universe.

Hell, if you really want to get technical, I suppose he could appear in any Marvel film during a post-credits scene. What do you think?
