How to Play Dragon Age: Inquisition Almost a Day Early on the PC

With a few simple maneuvers you can access Dragon Age: Inquisition as early as 7 a.m. PDT.

The process below originated from this nifty forum post, and has so far been reported to work by a number of users. Following these steps should give you access to the new Dragon Age game almost a day early.

I’ll outline the steps below and then go over some things you should be sure to do so you don’t mess up.

Please read all of the instructions beforehand, you’ll want to understand the entire process (and any risks) before you jump in!

Step 1. Purchase/pre-load Dragon Age: Inquisition

This is the absolute most important part. Purchase the game legally and make sure your payment has gone through. You’ll receive the option to pre-load the game through Origin. Do it. After you’ve downloaded the game, move on to the next step.

Step 2. Download a VPN

Really any VPN will do. A VPN is a Virtual Private Network which will allow you to access the internet from a number of different locations. There are cheap options for highly secure VPNs, and also free ones like the SoftEther VPN Client with its plug-in. Do some research and figure out which one is right for you.

Step 3. Log out of Origin, turn on the VPN, and log back in

Log out of Origin and turn on the VPN software you chose. When faced with options of where to connect, choose any South Korean server and hit connect. Wait for your internet connection to re-establish itself (it should only take a few seconds), and then log back in to Origin. When you go to your ‘My Games’ tab and look at when Inquisition will be available, it should say around 7 a.m. PDT.

Step 4. Launch Dragon Age: Inquisition

You should now be good to go to play Dragon Age tomorrow morning by launching it as you would with any other Origin game.

Step 5. Troubleshooting

If it doesn’t work, it’s time to troubleshoot. There could be a multitude of things that go wrong during this process. If you’re having issues with the payment, try using PayPal to get everything processed as soon as possible. If your payment hasn’t processed and the money hasn’t been deducted from your account before you use your VPN to access another region, you could get banned, so be careful. For everything else and all additional information, I refer you to the forum post that I got this process from.

Disclaimer!

I am not responsible for anything bad that may happen during this process. I see no reason why you should get banned from Origin for this, but I wouldn’t put it past EA. You do this at your own risk, although the risk is probably pretty low.
