Time to surf the waves of new music! I’ll tell ya what’s good, what’s bad, and what’s a waste of your time. Thanks for stopping by!

The Big News

New record from everyone’s favorite vegan, Moby. Haven’t had a proper solo studio effort from the shiny headed one since 2013’s Innocents, which contained NMW‘s song of the year for 2013, “The Perfect Life”. Now he’s back with the Kurt Vonnegut titled Everything was Beautiful and Nothing Hurt.  It’s got a great cover and the Irish Timesays that the record is full of “fragility that will stop you in your tracks.”

Legendary Legends

American treasure Joan Baez is thankfully still around and has been kind enough to offer up Whistle Down the Wind, a covers record that just happens to be the first peep we’ve heard out of the wise one in a decade.

90’s Flashback

The heart an soul of the alt/revolution of the 1990’s, The Breeders, are back with All Nerve, which is also their first release in ten years.

Alter-power pop outfit from Boston Buffalo Tom sticks it out with Quiet and Peace, it’s first effort since 2011.

Indie Miscy

Punk icons Titus Andronicus produce A Productive Cough, their second record for Merge and first since 2015’s A Most Lamentable Tragedy double album.

DC based stoner rockers Dead Meadow haven’t been around since 2013. Now they’re back with The Nothing They Need.

And party guy Andrew WK unveils You’re Not Alone.

My Recommendation

Norway’s shining light Jenny Hval, yes the Blood Bitch herself, offers up an EP recorded with Havard Volden as Lost Girls.

Next Week

Tune in next week, same new music time, same new music channel, for new stuff from JUDAS FUCKING PRIEST!!!
