Not much has been announced about The Flash and Arrow spinoff, other than there is one coming.
In the CW’s pilot order group they unveiled the title for DC’s upcoming series, which is Legends of Tomorrow. Interestingly enough, the pilot order group included two other shows: Crazy Ex Girlfriend and Cordon.
What Is Legends of Tomorrow?
Legends will see a return from The Flash and Arrow actors Brandon Routh as the Atom, Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold, Dominic Purcell as Heat Wave, Victor Garber as Dr. Martin Stein, Caity Lotz as someone, Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter, Franz Drameh as Jay Jackson, and Ciara Renée as Hawkgirl.
Many of these characters appeared in episodes of either The Flash or Arrow. If you can’t wait for the new series to arrive, you might want to catch up by watching those two shows — if you haven’t already.
In addition, a synopsis for Legends of Tomorrow has also been released:
When heroes alone are not enough… the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat – one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?
Rip Hunter will obviously be the brainchild of the group, similar to Nick Fury for the Avengers. The name also implies that time travel will play a role in the overarching plot of the series. Considering Rip Hunter can time travel, it makes sense.
