According to a blog post by Capcom USA community manager ComboFiend, episodes of the new live-action Street Fighter series, Assassin’s Fist, will begin airing on Machinima’s channel on May 23rd.

Detailing the formative years of Street Fighter protagonists Ryu and Ken as they study the art of Ansatsuken, or “Assassin’s Fist” from their master Gouken. Boasting an impressive roster of movie stuntment and martial artists, including The Bourne Ultimatum’s Joey Ansah, Assassin’s Fist promises to show us the lives and backstories of several notable Street Fighter characters, from demonic Akuma all the way to the ancient master Goutetsu.

Prior to Street Fighter: Legacy, the proof-of-concept that would become Assassin’s Fist, the only live-action Street Fighter media have been Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li and Street Fighter (a 1994 film), both critical failures. Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist’s trailer can be viewed here on the official Machinima channel.
