Lionsgate has reportedly won a bidding war for rights to adapt The Breach, a 2009 sci-fi novel. The novel follows an ex-cop who discovers a crashed plane in the Alaskan wilderness, and with it, a lone survivor who entangles him in a conspiracy full of secret organizations and alien tehcnology.

David Goyer is currently attached to direct the project, with Lorenzo di Bonaventura to produce. Goyer most recently co-wrote Man of Steel, as well as Nolan’s Batman trilogy. He is also writing the script for NBC’s Constantine TV pilot.
