They used the example fo Wind Waker in which you explore isolated islands, where stages had a definite entrance and exit, but there was no way to transgress the specific boundaries. They showed a screenshot of a grass-plains world with mountains int he background, in which every area is traversable. Puzzles will involve how you get to locations at your own pace for non-linear gameplay. Zelda will arrive in 2015. In the meantime, check out the gameplay demo below:
